SNOW TIME!

This weekend Michael, the kids and I took my sister, her family, and my mom up to our favorite vacation spot (besides HAWAII, cuz I've never been!)...LAKE GREGORY! We had to go the back way up the mountain on a Friday evening, so it took us FOREVER to get there. When we arrived, it started raining...then hailing...then SNOWING! It was kinda just lots of hail that started collecting and when Joshua and I got up Saturday morning, everything was white! The kids had lots of fun playing in the snow on the patio of the cabin and after lunch at Josiah's favorite restaurant, The Loose Caboose, we were on a mission to find a sledding hill. We found an awesome hill and had lots of fun sledding. Micaela and Josiah went flying down the hill on the sled. Joshua even tried snowboarding! (Sorry Uncle Bruce for the bruised shins!) After a while of snow play, we were all FREEZING and headed back to the cabin and a wonderfully warm fire. We all had a great time! And look forward to going again soon! Sorry there's no pictures to show you...I don't know how to use "hello".

Another one down

On Tuesday, I turned 31. That kinda sounds weird to say! I'm trying to do more grown up things...but of course with the occasional still "childish" things thrown in. I went out on Wednesday and bought new every day dishes so that we have "grown-up" dishes...I've been drinking more coffee...I've been trying to stay up later...you know, not big things, but subtle, different things for me. I've also joined a gym to get rid of my tummy and am trying to eat better too. We'll see how things go! Wish me luck!

ok, i'm back

So, here it is...January 4, 2005. Where has all the time gone? I looked at my blog and realized that I hadn't up posted in some time. It's been WONDERFUL having Michael back home with me! HE's been the one taking Joe to the potty every 3 minutes while we are out somewhere...and staying up late til they all fall asleep...and letting me take a shower without one of them coming in for SOME stupid reason. It's really been a nice thing! On Christmas Eve for dinner, he sat next to Josiah and even did it again on Christmas morning for breakfast! I should probably get used to this nice treatment since he'll be making it up to me for a LONG time to come! hehe
